Jizhong Zhu is a professor at the South China University of Technology (Foreign Academician of Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute, IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow) and a “National Distinguished Expert.” He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University in February 1985, 1987, and 1990, respectively. He is currently the director and professor of the ISESOOC Center of the South China University of Technology, serving as a high-level talent introduced by China. Since 2018, he has acted as the Chairman of the IEEE P2781 and P2783 international standards working groups, a Member of the IEEE SMC Smart Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee, and a Member of the IEEE SMC Standards Committee; he held the Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Loads Sub-Committee, served as Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer at Alstom Grid from 2000-2015, and became an academician-level expert of the Alstom Global Expert Committee in 2013.

Z.Y. Dong is Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Head of Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. He is immediate role is SPG Endowed Professor of Power Engineering, and Co-Director of SPG-NTU Joint Lab at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His previous roles include SHARP Professor and the inaugural Director of UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute, Director of ARC Research Hub for Integrated Energy Storage Solutions, Ausgrid Chair Professor and Director of Ausgrid Centre for Intelligent Electricity Networks providing R&D support for the AU$500m Smart Grid, Smart City national demonstration project of Australia. His research interest includes power system planning, load modelling, smart grid, smart cities, energy market, renewable energy and its grid connection, and computational methods and their application in power system analysis. He has been serving as editor/associate editor of several IEEE transactions and IET journals. He is a Fellow of IEEE.
Prof. Youmin Zhang, Concordia University, Canada

Youmin Zhang (Fellow, IEEE) (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in automatic control from the Department of Automatic Control, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi.an, China, in 1983, 1986, and 1995, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada. He has authored or coauthored eight books, more than 600 journal and conference papers. His research interests include the areas of monitoring, diagnosis and physical fault/cyber-attack tolerant/resilient control, guidance, navigation and control of unmanned systems and smart grids, with applications to forest fires and smart cities in the framework of cyber-physical systems by combining with remote sensing techniques.,Dr. Zhang is a Fellow of CSME, a Senior Member of AIAA, President of International Society of Intelligent Unmanned Systems (ISIUS) during 2019–2022, and a technical committee member of several scientific societies. He has been the Editor-in-Chief (EIC), Editorial Advisory Board Member of several journals, including as a Member of Board Member of Governors and Representatives for Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems, an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learing Systems, IEEE Transaction on Circuits and Systems–II: Express Briefs, IET Cyber-systems and Robotics, Unmanned Systems, Security and Safety, and the Deputy EIC of Guidance, Navigation and Control.

Mingcong Deng (deng@cc.tuat.ac.jp) earned his Ph.D. degree in systems science from Kumamoto University, Japan, in 1997. From April 1997 to September 2010, he was with Kumamoto University; the University of Exeter, United Kingdom; and the NTT Communication Science Laboratories; Okayama University, Japan. Since October 2010, he has been a professor with the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo 184-8588, Japan. He has more than 550 publications, including 189 journal articles, in peer-reviewed journals including IEEE Transactions and other top tier outlets. He is a cochair of the Agricultural Robotics and Automation Technical Committee of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) as well as a chair of the Environmental Sensing, Networking, and Decision-Making Technical Committee of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society (SMCS). He was the recipient of the 2014 and 2019 Meritorious Services Awards of the SMCS and the 2020 IEEE RAS Most Active Technical Committee Award (IEEE RAS). He is a member of the Engineering Academy of Japan.

Philip W. T. Pong received a B.Eng. from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2002 with 1st class honours. Then he studied for a PhD in engineering at the University of Cambridge (2002-2005). He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Magnetic Materials Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for three years. His research interest currently focuses on the development and application of advanced sensing techniques based on electromagnetic sensors in smart grid and nanotechnology. Philip Pong is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI), a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM), a Fellow of the NANOSMAT Society (FNS), a chartered physicist (CPhys), a chartered electrical engineer (CEng), a chartered energy engineer, a registered professional engineer (R.P.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Energy), a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE) and a corporate member of HKIE (MHKIE in Electrical Division and Electronics Division). He serves on the editorial boards for several IEEE and SCI journals.
