Prof. Jizhong Zhu

Biography:

Jizhong Zhu is a professor at the South China University of Technology (Foreign Academician of Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute, IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow) and a “National Distinguished Expert.” He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University in February 1985, 1987, and 1990, respectively. He is currently the director and professor of the ISESOOC Center of the South China University of Technology, serving as a high-level talent introduced by China. Since 2018, he has acted as the Chairman of the IEEE P2781 and P2783 international standards working groups, a Member of the IEEE SMC Smart Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee, and a Member of the IEEE SMC Standards Committee; he held the Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Loads Sub-Committee, served as Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer at Alstom Grid from 2000-2015, and became an academician-level expert of the Alstom Global Expert Committee in 2013.

Speech Title: Optimal Pricing and Operation for Large-scale Electric Vehicles and Power Grid Interaction

Biography:

Prof. Zechun Hu has been selected for the National Talent Support Program. He has led one key project (joint fund), one general project, and one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as one project of the Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education. He has also served as project leader or key member in 8 projects under the National Key R&D Program / 973 Program / 863 Program, and 2 international cooperation projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 300 papers, including more than 120 SCI-indexed papers. He has been consecutively listed as an Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researcher from 2020 to 2024. He has received the "Top 100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in China" awards in 2013, 2015, and 2016, and has had 9 papers selected for the F5000 Leading Paper Program. He has authored 2 monographs and co-authored 2 English monographs. He has received 8 first-prize awards at provincial/ministerial and society levels (including 2 first prizes of the Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education). His current research interests include electric vehicle–grid integration, applications of energy storage technologies in power systems, optimal operation and planning of power systems, and electricity markets.

SpeakerTitle:Analysis on Development Paths and Typical Application Scenarios of New-type Energy Storage Technologies

Biography:

Li Jianlin is a Professor (Level II), doctoral supervisor, and postdoctoral co-supervisor. He is a national-level talent, a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council, and a Fellow of the China Electrotechnical Society. He has been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists in the “Career-long Scientific Impact Ranking” and recognized as a CNKI Highly Cited Scholar TOP 1%. He currently serves as the discipline leader of Electrical Engineering at North China University of Technology, Deputy Director of the National User-Side Energy Storage Center, Deputy Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Electrochemical Energy Storage Technology for Power Systems, and holds several other professional positions.

He has long been engaged in research on large-scale energy storage technologies, with a particular focus on zero-carbon park planning, computing–electricity coordination, grid-forming energy storage, and integrated energy systems. He has successively led 2 projects under the National Key R&D Program of China, 4 projects under the National High-Tech R&D Program (863 Program), 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and more than 10 major projects of State Grid Corporation of China. He has published over 200 SCI/EI-indexed papers, obtained more than 100 authorized invention patents, led the development of more than 30 industry standards, and received one Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award as well as more than 30 first-and second-prize awards at the provincial and ministerial levels.

Biography:

Assoc. Prof. Heping Jia has been selected for the Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star Program and the 7th China Association for Science and Technology Young Talent Support Program. She has led over 10 vertical projects, including general and youth projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, general projects of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, projects of the Beijing Social Science Foundation, and special projects of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and has participated in major projects of the National Social Science Foundation. She has published over 60 papers, including 27 SCI papers. She has co-authored 2 international standards and has published one monograph on virtual power plants in both Chinese and English as the first author. She has received multiple science and technology awards, including the Second Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award and the Second Prize of the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. She has served as a Technical Program Committee member for international conferences such as PowerCon 2021, SRSE 2022, SRSE 2023, and SRSE 2024, and as a Session Chair for IEEE EI2 and IEEE CIEEC international conferences.
